About Upsquare® Technologies
Upsquare, founded by UV and then known as Space-O Digicom, started in 2012.
Initially a consulting and development firm, Upsquare quickly pivoted to crafting its own mobile applications for the Apple App Store.
Over 12 years, through a journey marked by a mix of failures and two profitable exits, Upsquare has gained a wealth of expertise, determination, and enthusiasm for the future.
Although technology is Upsquare’s foundation, its approach prioritizes solutions; Upsquare uses technology as a means to an end, not the end itself.
UV's extension thus far, Upsquare, now has professional leadership and looks forward to co-creating a shared future where everyone wins!
Story Behind the Name “UV”
During the early days of crafting his initial product, UV faced significant financial strain. With earnings at $3 per day against expenses of $357, the situation was daunting.
In response, he began offering UX consulting services to clients in North America, the UK, and Europe.
Frequently, his first name Utpal was mispronounced, and his last name proved challenging for Western clients. Thus, he introduced himself as UV, short and simple.
“Call me UV (Yuvi). It’s the first step to solving your UX challenges,” he would say. This approach not only made communication smoother but also helped fund his product development through successful UX project engagements.
After achieving product-market fit, UV no longer needed to consult, but the nickname stuck, marking the start of his identity in the tech world.
